This nonfiction book is a great challenge for a new year: assess areas of your life where you are living in excess and find ways to create better practices for you and your family.  Jen journals her experiment over 7 months in 7 different areas of her life: food, clothes, spending, media, possessions, waste and stress.  She is realistic in her writing, admitting when she caved in her fasting from her month's challenge--and then applies ways we can make ourselves aware of our excesses in our life and how to turn them into good for others.  Great challenge for anyone! 4.5/5
